I got to fish for fun today. I took 3 good friends out and we did really well on the BIG Sandies (Whites). The Stripers were few and far between and fort he most part all undersized fish. We marked a lot of larger fish but I guess they were taking the day off as much as we were. The Whites were in anywhere from 16 to 27 feet deep all around the outside of Sun Point. We caught well over 100 fish and kept 62 of them between 14 and 18 inches. Almost all of them were caught on Chartreuse Rainbow Shad Slabs.
The water temp is around 57-60 degrees and the clarity is fairly clear. The fish just aren't on the rocks this year as in past years. I figure the fish are all on that North side especially the way the wind has been so high and from the South for so long. The time is right though; every single fish was full of eggs.
E-mail me if I can be of any use or help to you in anyway.
