Cedar Creek Saturday October 30, 2004
This was probably the most beautiful day weather wise I have seen all year!
I fished with two men today. David and Eddie. Eddie also brought along his two sons, Joey and John Paul and let’s just say I am glad Eddie gave me a little advance warning! LOL
I started the morning off looking in the Key Ranch area but there was no surfacing action so I headed us up the lake to a spot where I have had excellent luck at this time of year before. The first spot was a no go so on to spot #2 and after some searching we found some nice sized White Bass and it was pretty much non-stop for awhile. After we had put 30 plus fish in the boat here and the action slowed we moved onto some other spots catching a few here and there.
We hit the honey hole around 1:30 and finished our limit of 100 White Bass, 30 more fish at this time in less than an hour. These were all really nice fish too. The fish were all caught on jigging spoons in anywhere form 15 to 22 feet deep. Silver seemed to work extremely well.
The water is still fairly clear and warm. The temperature is still in the low 70’s. the fish were either there or they weren’t. If you get the chance get out there now and have some fun before it gets too cold and all you can do is dream by the fire.
E-mail me if I can be of any use or help to you in anyway.
