I fished with outdoor radio personality Billy Kinder on August 17th and we had a great time catching several different species of fish on a variety of baits. We found White Bass schooling at daylight in the Meadowmere park area. The fish were in water from 14 to 30 feet deep and larger fish for the most part were feeding under smaller fish schooling on top. We did catch a few keepers on top water baits but most of our bigger fish came on jigging spoons either worked just off the bottom or cast out and then retrieved from 10 to 12 feet down in the water column. The fish preferred a minnow shaped slab to a shad shape. When this action slowed we tried several other areas and picked up a fish here and there. We also caught some Crappie, Largemouth Bass and Catfish all on jigging spoons. The water is in the mid 80's and fairly clear. The thermocline has set in at around 22 feet and not many fish were caught deeper than that.

E-mail me if I can be of any use or help to you in anyway.
