I fished another full trip today with 2 dads and their sons. Gaither, his son Chris with Ronald and his son Craig.

I started off looking for Stripers or Hybrids in the Tallman and SRA area with little on the graph and even less in the box. I gave up on them after only catching 1 20” Striper near the white line mark.

I moved to the Holiday Hump then to the Wolf Cove Hump with very limited results. After that I tried the Finger Point area that had been so productive the previous weekend. I noticed after trying several other areas that the boats trolling were catching a good deal more fish than we were.

So, I put up the slabs, pulled out the Hell/Pet and Hell/Crippled Herring and we immediately began catching fish.

The fish came off of every shallow point we trolled in water depths ranging from 9 to 23 feet deep. A friend of mine also trolled the Terrill Pump Stations and did very well.

The shift is now happening from spring to summer patterns. The water temp is in the upper 70’s and the condition is still remarkably clear. The fish definitely show up on your graph, they just, for me anyway would not take a vertically presented slab. The one Striper we caught was on a Hellbender and Holiday Glow Sassy Shad. We finished the day with 55 good White Bass and the one Striper. Not as good as previous trips, but not as tough as some I’ve had.

Good luck all!
