June 1, 2011
The fishing on Lake Grapevine continues to be excellent all day. Don and his clients caught their limits of fish yesterday morning before 11am. I had a personal commitment early, so I took an afternoon trip.
This afternoon I had Dan, Ron and Austin. We started around 4pm and immediately found fish out in front of Scott's Landing. After putting 20 in the box there with lots of missed fish and lost ones we moved to Rock Ledge and caught a few there. Then we moved to the Rock Crusher area and found lots more fish! We added another 35 or so here and ended the trip with 60 nice keepers. Water temp is still in the mid 70's and has cleared up since the winds have died down. The fish are very active and the larger Li'l Shad from Lead Babies is catching bigger fish. It is a 1.5 ounce bait and still the Texoma Special or the Chartreuse Glo/Glitter is catching the most fish. I have Saturday am open on Cedar Creek in June is my only weekend day left. I have lots of weekdays open though so call me and get in on this hot action!
