May 31st Morning Trip
The fishing has been absolutely great everywhere this year. Cedar Creek is no exception. I took an old friend Brian and his friend Mike fishing and we tore them up.
I took us to several places up the lake and we finally found some fish off of the Lynn Creek main lake point. When we found them we really FOUND them! We caught fish after fish for over an hour here and it was great fun. The doubles were dong their thing again. They each caught several doubles with some small Hybrids mixed in the bunch.
This eventually slowed down so I once again went looking for the fish. It didn’t take long for me to find them stacked up on a deep water hump and it was game on again!
The two probably caught a little over 100 total fish keeping their 50 fish limit. These fish were again caught on Lead Babies slabs in the Pee Wee size and any color worked well. The fish are deeper than expected for this time of year so be sure to use your electronics to fully search the areas you usually find fish.
May 31st Afternoon Trip
The fishing was a lot like the weather HOT! I took Claude Hicks and his lovely wife out after they won the trip at the Texas Hunter’s Education Instructor’s Banquet. This trip was a long time in coming but they said it was worth the wait. I found a good school of fish on the Long Ridge and out on the Lynn Creek point. The fish were very cooperative and were striking hard. After just a few hours they were worn out after catching over 150 fish and I took them in for a cold drink and to clean their catch,.
This was one of the nicest couples I have ever taken fishing and I hope to get to take them again soon when it is cooler!
E-mail me if I can be of any use or help to you in anyway.
