If Lake Grapevine gets any better we won’t be able to keep the secret form getting gout!

May 23rd Morning Trip

I had the pleasure of fishing with Jan Collmer and his two grandsons today and the fishing was excellent. I took us right off back to the bubble generator and the fish were really thick. We caught a lot of great fish right off the bat and the two boys were having a ball. After a while the smaller fish were all that was left so I moved us over to the Rock Ledge drop off and caught a few more fish there,

That died out and I took us almost to the other end of the lake where a shelf comes out into the lake and it was solid fish for over 2 hours. These fish call came on Lead Babies Slabs in the Pee Wee model in just about any color. The 3 of them caught and release over 200 fish and kept around 20 or so for a fish dinner that night before the boys went back to Kansas.

It was a pleasure to be around such great kids and Jan.

May 23rd Afternoon Trip

This was a last minute decision by Andy to take his wife Staci and their friend Debbie out fishing and they sure were happy they did. I took them back to the bubble and the bigger fish had showed back up in force. We caught lots of good keeper fish for over an hour and they were having lots and lots of fun.

It started getting a little crowded so I took us back up the lake to the ledge. The fish were still stacked up her thick and we caught fish on almost every cast for 3 hours. They put their 75 fish limit in the box and caught and released after that. It was a lot of fun fishing with these 3 and I can’t wait to do it again!

E-mail me if I can be of any use or help to you in anyway.
