Tawakoni - Windy but Great! May 4, 2003
Sunday on Tawakoni was just as good as Cedar Creek the day before!
The very first spot I tried on Tawakoni was almost identical to the places we caught fish on at Cedar Creek the day before.
I immediately caught fish off of a shallow point. The fish were schooling almost non stop for close to an hour. The cloud cover I'm sure contributed to the White Bass staying up for a longer period of time - that and the people in other boats around me knew not to use their big motors to stay on the fish.
The action slowed there and I tried for some larger fish on the north bank to no avail. I then came back across the lake to the south side and found fish and birds working the mouth of Wolf Cove and caught and released another 20 to 30 fish.
When I quit at 11am I had caught close to 100 fish!
The conditions and fish are very similar to those described on Cedar Creek. If you have a young one and want him or her to catch some fish now is the time to book a great trip.
E-mail me if I can be of any use or help to you in anyway.
