This morning the lake and the weather were beautiful, and the fishing was awesome too! We found hungry White Bass on just about every drop off we fished and the fish were anywhere from 25 to 30 feet deep. Started off at Sun Point and I guess I got there a little too late but we managed a couple of under Hybrids and 1 good sized White Bass. Moved on back across the lake to Wolf Cove and started catching some good fish when it got too crowded I headed up the lake and fished several humps in the Dallas Pump Station area and the fish were super thick there! We caught enough White Bass there of finish off Mick and Jarrod’s White Bass limit of 50 White Bass and after that I started a search for bigger fish with not much success although we did manage 1 Hybrid Striper around 19” in length.
The fish are moving some but not much, their holding to the structure long enough generally to get 30 to 40 fish from a school before disappearing. The bite was very aggressive and swimming the jigging spoon up the drop off worked as well as just dropping it straight down. The fish hit every bait we used.
Water is clear and in the low 70’s. The Seagulls were everywhere but I did not see them working schooling fish anywhere this morning.
