I fished with David and his son Shawn and cousin Dickey today on Lake Lewisville and the fishing was very good. I found fish near a drop off in the corner of the dam and while most of the fish were small we managed to keep a few and put them in the box.
I moved us around a little bit in the same area and when it was obvious the fish had moved off I moved across the lake to what is known as “Twin Trees Point”. I killed the motor in deeper water and let us drift up the drop off. At 27 feet the graph lit up like a Christmas tree and it was one fish after the other for the next two hours
The water is clear and in the low 70’s. Almost all our fish were caught deeper than 25 feet and we caught them on anything you put down for a jigging spoon. The bite was pretty light at first but got more aggressive as the day went on. The trio of anglers I had out finished the morning with 75 White Bass and 3 Hybrid Stripers.
