The wind was really up this day! I got to fish with my buddy Don Novak and a special treat, Larry Ladner and his wife Julia. Larry called me early to tell me he had a sick child and was running late. So Don and I went on out and found the birds working in the deep water again!! We managed to catch 2 nice Stripers close to 10 pounds each by the tiem we had to head in to pick up Larry and Julia. We went right back out and they were still there. By the time Larry got there we could only fish about 3 and a half hours before I had to quit, and yet in that time span we caught 9 more Striper with some of these fish being the largest of the three days. We caught one at 14-1/2, one at 13 and another at
12-1/2 and a 10 pound Hybrid.
The action slowed and we went back to the ridge off of South Shore and caught some nice Sandies for Larry’s freezer.
Once again the baits were Holiday Sassy Shads and Burgess and Lead Babies Slabs.
Get out if you can!!!!
E-mail me if I can be of any use or help to you in anyway.
