Tawakoni, April 28-29, 2007
Both Don and I fished this group both days.
Saturday April 28th
I knew this weekend was going to be a lot of fun! I was going to get to fish with my best client and friend Greg Yates and his great group of friends.
Don and I launched our boats and headed over to Greg’s dock at his lake house. After determining who would fish with who and where we headed out. The fish were playing hard to get for most of the morning but we found some active fish on several humps and caught Hybrids and White Bass with regularity after around 9am. We came in around 11am so that the group could have time to get cleaned up to play golf. Don and I then cleaned their fish and rested for the next day.
Sunday April 29th
This morning was much better! After looking around a little we found some White Bass chasing bait in 9 to 13 feet of water and caught all we wanted of them on Lead Babies Slabs and then I tried to find some bigger fish and I succeeded! We found a school of Hybrids working the edge of a hump at mid lake. We caught 3 nice ones n my boat and 2 in Don’s. I thoroughly enjoyed fishing with these men and I look forward to even more trips with them.
Both days the water was much clearer on the south end of the lake and was in the low 60’s to almost 70 by 11am.
E-mail me if I can be of any use or help to you in anyway.
