Don had another trip today and so did I, and once again the "Bird Dog" came through! Modest ain't I??? LOL A modest Irishman, who am I kidding!
Anyway we started the day off over off of Tallman again and found birds working closer to Sun Point again and caught a lot of great fish. I had a repeat customer Pete Haas and Don had a new customer David and his som Connor. The wind began picking up and so we headed back to calmer water on the south shoreline. We had little to no action for the next 3 hours from around noon to 3! Finally I had had enough and took us back over into the wind where we found some fish at Tallman, some more off of Sun Point and then the wind calmed down and we found birds working close to Cloud Point and for an hour and a half it was non-stop fish catching action! That was GREAT!
Even greater is having a partner like Don.
The magnum Sandies and Hybrids were all caught primarily on Lead Babies Slabs, PeeWees in the "Irish Special" color Green and Silver and Blue back with Silver. During the schooling action we caught some really nice fish on Holiday Sassy Shads and Jigheads. The water temp is in the upper 60's to low 70's and has cleared substantially in just the last several weeks.
Fishing should just get better and better.
E-mail me if I can be of any use or help to you in anyway.
