Tawakoni, April 15, 2007
After taking some time off both on purpose and by reason of stormy weather I finally was able to get back out on the water.
I took Jerry and Peggy Pack out again and it was a cool morning but the wind had calmed enough for us to fish. We started out using sassy shads on the rip rap and after catching some nice White Bass and one Hybrid Striper we moved onto look for some schools of White Bass on the many humps and ridges of Lake Tawakoni.
After trying several spots we located a really good school of fish and finished out their limit by around 11:30.
The water is in the low 60’s and somewhat stained due to the recent rains. The White Bass were caught on Lead Babies Slabs in various colors but the 1 ounce PeeWee and the 1-1/2 ounce Ghost Minnow were the most productive sizes.
The fishing will only get better for the next several weeks.
E-mail me if I can be of any use or help to you in anyway.
