Wind, wind and more wind! Fish were a little tough to find or at least some good sized fish, I tried spot after spot and found a few fish here and there that would cooperate and then finally came back to the ridges on the West end of the dam and they were actually stacked in there pretty thick.
We used RSR’s 1 ounce Gold Shad slab and caught lots of fish. Also the Lead Babies in the 1-1/2 ounce Li’l Shad in the Luck O’ The Irish color. I had repeat clients Jess, Mark, Hartley and Scott for a good half day of fishing on Lake Lewisville.
Sorry no pictures this trip but we finished off with 44 White Bass, 2 Channel and 2 Blue Catfish and 1 nice sized Hybrid. The water is fairly clear and in the upper 60’s I didn’t see any birds working but that doesn’t mean they won’t be doing that someday this week. I don’t think the Seagulls could see the surface action for all the whitecaps.
