Cedar Creek was awesome today! Tough but awesome, I had to try six different spots before I found fish for Steve, Danny and Kevin but I found them! Started off in the Clear Creek Arm not far from my launch point of Fisherman’s Wharf Marina and found lots of fish but none were biting. I moved and moved but only had 7 fish in the box at 10 am.
I finally decided to fish a mid lake point and it was on! My clients caught the remainder of their limit at around 11:L45. They had 75 nice sized Sand Bass and 2 legal Hybrid Stripers. They are great guys to fish with and I am so glad they got this opportunity to see how great the fishing is on Cedar Creek.
All our fish were caught on jigging spoons Lead Babies in a variety of colors, but glow in the dark did better than most other colors. The best depth was between 23 and 26 feet of water.
